We are pleased to announce that Adopt A Degree was accepted into the Study Melbourne/Intersective partnership in November last year and looking forward to July 2018 cohort.  This collaboration allowed Adopt A Degree to engage international students in Australia to brainstorm solutions models to common challenges encountered by self sponsored students abroad.

The selected students are international students who study in different educational institutions in Victoria. Their presentation provided three key areas that Adopt A Degree should focus on in the next 12 months.

These areas were;

1.     How to create a large and meaningful impact by hosting events, creating newsletters and other correspondence

2.     Finding the right partners for sponsorship and connecting to the right interest groups

3.     Establishing a support network for International Students in Australian Universities and Higher Education.

Over the coming months since the comprehensive brief presented to Bode (Co-founder) and Sacha Adams (Project Coordinator/PR Consultant), Adopt A Degree has successfully raised funds for a student who was facing extreme financial difficulty, and this could not have been achieved without the help from friends, relatives, interest groups and the Malaysian Embassy.

We would like to thank those who have been involved currently or previously with Adopt A Degree, and will provide an update to the above three areas in our e-newsletter and on our website.
